Basalt Chopped Fiber

Basalt Chopped Fibers can be mixed directly into polymers and concrete to increase tensile strength and reduce cracking and chipping.

Basalt Chopped Fibers – Features & Benefits

1.   High temperature resistance, low temperature resistance(-269~650ºC)

Mixing with the hot asphalt, the asphalt material performance will not change, and not bring chemical or dissolution reaction with asphalt, it can effectively change the asphalt cold hardening, softening temperature condition.

2.    Superior water erosion performance, low water absorption, moisture absorption <0.1%, and the absorption capacity does not change with time

3.    elastic modulus(93~110GPa)

4.    High Tensile Strenght, tensile strength is 2 to 2.5 times than metal, and keep stable at 100 ~ 250 ºC.

5.    High Sound Absorption Coefficient,  low thermal conductivity

6.    stable Chemical stability, wear resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, excellent anti-aging properties

7.    good surface affinity with cement concrete, asphalt or concrete, good dispersion, strong adhesion, same coefficient of thermal expansion and contraction,  basalt fiber is wire drawing from natural volcanic rock directly.

Application

The preferred material to reinforce cement concrete and asphalt concrete, the reinforcing material for impermeability, anti-crack and anti-compression of hydropower station and dam, and for prolonging service life of pavement.
