Basalt Fiber Mesh/Geogrid

Basalt fiber mesh is basalt fiber substrate, the polymer anti-emulsion soak coating. Thus has good resistance to acid and alkali, UV, durability, with its chemical stability, high strength, light weight, good dimensional stability, lightweight and easy construction. Basalt fiber cloth has high breaking strength, high temperature resistance and permanent flame retardancy. It can be used under the high temperature environment of 760 ºC for a long time, and can not be replaced by other materials such as glass fiber. Can be widely used in the building walls, fire prevention, thermal insulation, cracking, etc., its performance is better than glass fiber.

Application

Basalt Fibre Mesh is ideally suited for reinforcing roads, overlays to prolong life spans and reduce maintenance due to reduced reflective cracking caused by traffic loading and temperature cycling. Basalt fibre mesh, when supplied correctly makes it possible to reduce thickness of asphalt concrete up to 20%.

Because of their higher performance and potential lower costs, they have the potential to cost effectively replace fibreglass, steel fibres, polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, aramids and carbon fibre products in many applications Typical applications include road and asphalt construction, concrete reinforcement, marine, civil engineering, automotive airport runways, tunnelling, mining and many others.
